For all who were wondering, we’ve made it on to Phase II of the Wedding Threesome v. 2.0 contest, and we’re that much closer to winning $10,000 worth of wedding service from the fantastic Wedding Girl, Rick Denham Photography and Captivate Bridal. Words can not express how very grateful we are for all of the help and support we received from you all in Phase I. We wouldn’t be here without you!
So why did we enter this contest, you ask? Well…for those of you who know us well you will know that planning a wedding was not top on our list of “fun things to do”. But as with any couple, we have family and friends who have supported us throughout our nearly 4 year relationship so far who deserve a chance to eat, drink and be merry as our guests! We hired Mary, The Wedding Girl, back in the fall to help us make this day possible. Mary introduced us to the Wedding Threesome contest, which besides being a chance to win some of the services we will be hiring for our big day also provided the opportunity for us to have a little extra fun and silliness in the process! That’s right…all of that facebook cajoling and begging was actually just another excuse for us to share our enthusiasm and remind us of all the terrific people we are so fortunate to know.
We live a pretty simple life that we love and are very content to be approaching both of our 30th birthdays this year (Jaime’s is only 6 days before the wedding!!!), but we also share a love of adventures big and small that keep life interesting. In fact, when Chris proposed at the edge of the escarpment on Rattlesnake Point after an afternoon of spontaneously-decided horseback riding, he asked Jaime if she would like to keep having these adventures together forever. Of course she said yes! And since the engagement site was overlooking a Christmas tree farm, what better time of year to tie the knot than December?
